Xenia is a large Bernese Mountain Dog. Even as a puppy she was different from our other puppies.
It soon became clear that she was ideal for ‘nose work’ and tracking. She doesn’t pounce on food, but first picks up the scent. She does this with everything and then takes it easy.
She also has a special behaviour!
Xenia – the cosy giant baby
She is only happy when she is lying in our arms like a human baby and would love to sit on our laps – not only with us, but also with visitors and even with the vet and his staff. She absolutely needs physical contact. In terms of character, she is a lovely, calm, cosy dog who can sometimes be stubborn like a bernese if she doesn’t want to do what we want.
In Paw Patrol, she would be the character Marshall.
